Blue Water Beach Parasailing

What you need to know about Blue Water Beach Parasailing...

Loaded Zeus

How much does it cost?

Our rates are: $69 USD for a single or $120 USD for a double.  (The harness is designed for a single passenger or two at a time)

Where can we be picked up?

We will pick up anywhere along Seven Mile Beach or from the port.  When arriving on a cruise ship, we shuttle the guests out of the port to the parasail area- in front of Seven Mile Beach. When the flights have finished you have the option of being dropped off at the beach or taken back to the port (if time permits).

What type of boat do you use?

We use a boat custom made for parasailing. It is a 31’ CWS Ocean Pro named “Zeus”. The boat has a 310 horsepower Volvo Penta turbo diesel engine. It is the biggest, best, safest parasail boat in the world. If you are shuttled out to Zeus from the port, you will board “Pontus”- a 24’ pontoon.  Pontus is also quipped with a cooler with refreshments. Both boats comfortably seat 12 passengers plus 2 crewmembers.

What is the flight procedure?

The parasailing process is completely controlled by the crew at all times.  You leave from the boat and land on the boat.  The boat utilizes a hydraulic winch and a platform (flight deck) that is built on the back of the parasail boat. Guests are gently hoisted from the flight deck on the back of the boat by the inflated and rising parachute (all the while controlled by the hydraulic winch) and land right back on the flight deck (reeled back in by the winch). The procedure is the safest method in the parasailing industry today.

How long does it take?

The length of the entire adventure varies upon the amount of guests per departure, but should be anywhere between 45-75 minutes after shuttling. The flight time is 6-8 minutes per flight.

How high will you go?

We use a 600 foot towline so you will fly as high as 350 to 450 feet from the surface of the water.

Are there any age or weight requirements?

There are no age requirements, but there are weight and physical capability requirements.  The minimum combined weight is usually 90lbs and the maximum combined weight 450lbs.  These may also vary upon weather conditions.  Also, it is advisable that people are reasonably physically fit/capable. Although very little physical exertion is required, for their own safety, we would prefer that anyone who is frail or very weak not participate. Wind conditions may also change circumstance. It will be the Captain's sole discretion on who goes and when. Safety is of paramount importance and will not be compromised.

How many people can go at one time?

As mentioned, we take up to 12 passengers per departure.  Group discounts may be given upon request, please email kbeatch@bwbcayman.com for more information.

Will you get wet?

No. However, dipping is an option.  What that means is, as the chute is being brought back in the captain slows things down and can dip your ankles.  It’s a fun part of the trip and actually, the majority of the people request it!

What do we need to bring?

You should wear a swimsuit if you opt to get "dipped". We strongly recommend that you bring sunscreen as you will not be under a canopy while on the boat. Also, bring extra cash for your flight; for pictures, refreshments and paraphernalia, etc.

When don't we fly?

If the wind exceeds 20 mph, if there are strong wind gusts, or if there is a heavy rain storm approaching we will suspend operations until such time that it is safe to resume flying. Please call or email us as opposed to using your own judgment as to whether or not the parasailing will commence.

What is the cancellation policy?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for a full refund. Reservations cancelled less than 24 hours before flight time are charged 100% of the fee.

How do we make reservations?

Call us at (345)-525-5400 (you don't have to use the area 345 area code if you are calling from on the island) or email us at kbeatch@bwbcayman.com.  For both on-line and telephone booking, please book at least 24hr ahead due to dependency of weather.

See you up there!!!
